lot clever things with windbg, in the majority of cases; a basic understanding
of windows processes and the tooling coupled with the utilisation of a few
relatively simple commands through the .net extension libraries available is
often as much as it takes to figure out a rough lead.
Third party support is useful, but the engineers won't know your code or your business domain - you are very often going to be the quickest way to Root-Cause-Analysis.
